A grounding presence for your healing journey.

Hi! I'm Deanna, a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist offering telehealth therapy to adults in California. I believe that with the right support, people have an incredible capacity to heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves.

My Approach

My work is grounded in warmth, collaboration, curiosity, non-judgment, and a deep respect for your own pace. I utilize several evidence-based practices that fit best for you, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic Therapy, and attachment-based frameworks to help you understand the patterns that keep you stuck and build new ways of relating to yourself and others. I also believe you're the expert on your own life; I'll ask questions, offer perspective, and sit with you in all the hard parts.

I believe healing happens in relationships, whether it’s with yourself or with others. I work primarily with adults navigating stress, relationships, major life transitions, addiction recovery, and self-compassion. I have worked at a domestic violence shelter for 1 year in the past, and it was the foundation of my passion for healthy relationships and understanding how they affect us individually. I have also worked at an addiction treatment center for the past 3 ½ years where I have gained such a deep respect and admiration for those navigating recovery.

My Background

A scenic outdoor camping scene with three tents on a grassy area near a lake, surrounded by mountains and trees, with campers relaxing and enjoying the view during sunset.

More About Me

Outside of sessions, I enjoy slow mornings with my little family, playing with my dogs, and being out in nature (especially camping!). I believe connection and rest are part of how we heal.

I became a therapist because I know what it feels like to carry things alone. I grew up in a Latino family where mental health was not talked about or understood. I chose to dedicate my life to being the kind of genuine, calm, and honest support I once needed. Because of my experience, I love to explore how our cultures and backgrounds have been a part of our experiences.
